Q. How do you see Credence Solar expanding over the next five years or so? Please enlighten our readers about the marvelous journey so far?

Credence Solar Panels Pvt Ltd has already announced plans to expand its manufacturing capacity during the REI Expo 2023 from 200MW to 600MW. Over the next five years, this expansion could be a significant part of OUR growth strategy. Further Increasing production capacity will be depends on growing demand for high-efficiency solar panels, Technology shift and potentially explore new markets beyond India. When we have started in 2021 with unique offering in the industry in M12 Families, within a short period we have laid a remarkable presence in the market with unbeatable quality, higher-wattage and efficiency efficiency modules

Q. What is the scope for Half Cut Mono PERC Bifacial module in India and what is Credence’s focus and why?

Bifacial technology allows solar panels to capture reflected and diffused sunlight from the ground, further increasing energy generation. Bifacial modules contribute to sustainability goals by generating more energy from the same area of land, reducing the environmental footprint of solar installations. As India’s solar market continues to grow, there’s a demand for innovative and efficient solar solutions. Credence’s focus on Half Cut Mono PERC Bifacial modules positions them as a forwardthinking company, catering to the evolving needs of the market. Our 182MM and 210MM Topcon Bifacial upto 720W will be out soon to cater the need to achieve better LCOE.

Q. What policy changes would you like to see to help Solar PV Modules flourish?

Is there anything else that can boost the solar installations in India? Streamlining and simplifying the regulatory processes for obtaining permits, clearances, and grid connections can significantly reduce project development timelines and costs. Clear, consistent, and standardized regulations across states would be beneficial. Combining solar installations with EV charging stations can promote clean transportation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Incentivizing domestic manufacturing of solar panels and components can promote self-reliance and reduce dependence on imports. Tax benefits for individual in solar investments can boost. businesses to adopt solar power.

Q. What are the roadblocks in the pathway of India’s Solar Modules segment’s growth trajectory?

Frequent changes in solar policies regulations are creating uncertainty for investors and manufactures. A shortage of skilled labor and trained professionals in the solar industry. India relies on raw material imports, mainly from China. Need to reduce dependence on imports by self-reliance.

Q. What are the latest products that Credence Solar has launched at REI Expo 2023?

We have launched our Topcon modules in 182MM and 210MM. Modules upto 720W in Mono and Bifacial in Topcon will be available by first quarter 2024. Bifacial modules from credence are of G2G having POE as encapsulating material.

Q. How India’s Renewable Energy sector can unlock the era to net zero emissions?

Unlocking the era of net-zero emissions in India’s renewable energy sector requires a holistic and multi-faceted approach, with active involvement from government, industry, and civil society. It is an ambitious goal, but with concerted efforts and the right strategies, India can significantly reduce its carbon emissions and transition to a sustainable, low-carbon energy future.
