MR. ANIL GUPTA

"B-Solar intends to grow; we already service every area in Gujarat, including the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, and we are currently developing ground-mounted projects. We’re working on groundmounted models. In addition, Our goal is to grow into the neighboring states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan."

Q. Can you tell us more about the journey of B-Solar since its founding in 2016 and how the company has evolved in the renewable energy sector over the years?

After resigning from Torrent Power Ltd in 2014, I enrolled in the Master of Technology (Electric Power) program with the intention of becoming a part of the educational system. However, after a year, as part of the academic program, I was required to present a project report as part of my dissertation in order to complete my MTech.I was chosen for an M.Tech Dissertation at ISRO Ahmedabad and was given the opportunity to work on a 250KWp solar project that was about to begin. I completed the SITC for a solar project at ISRO Ahmedabad and published three papers from ISRO on solar power, the effect of temperature, soiling, and tilt angle. These three components are essential for any solar power plant. I was overjoyed when the project was completed, and I began reading plants on a daily basis, eventually deciding to work in this field. Here, if a solar developer installs solar, his client will benefit by conserving energy, the developer will earn, and we will be doing something good for the environment, so it is a win-win situation, which encouraged me to enter the renewable energy business. After working since 2016, I launched my own EPC company in 2021, B-Solar Consultant & Engineer Pvt Ltd. We are registered as RE Renewable Energy Company with MSME and Startup India with DP ID.

Q. Could you elaborate on the range of solar products and services offered by B-Solar, especially in terms of residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects?

We started solar project EPC only one year ago under the new Enterprise name B-Solar, which is registered under the Start Up India (GOI Program) and ISO 9001:2015. The company has extensive experience in solar rooftop of more than 23MWp, ground-mounted systems, and has completed successful commissioning in a variety of categories, including residential solar rooftop 1500 KWp and industrial and commercial 2000 KWp. Furthermore, ground-mounted models are in the works. We also provide liasioning and design services for MW-scale solar projects with statutory compliance. We install DG sets for captive needs, APFC panels, and Servo Stabiliser SITC. We named some projects with PV capacity as shown below.

Q. Can you share some notable achievements or milestones of B-Solar?

We really began on September 22, so in a very short period of time, we have completed 1.5MW residential and 2MW commercial/industrial projects, which is quite impressive. We are at an extremely respectable position in the solar EPC business.

Q. B-Solar emphasizes the importance of solar rooftop systems. Could you explain why solar rooftop systems are essential, especially in the context of energy savings, government subsidies, and environmental impact?

Run saved is equals Run made, and money saved equals money earned. We support the vision of our country. India aims to reach 500GW by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2070.Our Prime Minister is a passionate and visionary leader of the country. He recently unveiled a solar initiative called the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna, which will install 1 crore solar rooftops across the country. The subsidy has been increased to 30,000 Rs per kWp up to 2kw and 18000 Rs per kw over 2kw, with a maximum of 78000Rs for more than 3kw. The scheme will supports rural areas morethen urban area the most. Saving electricity means decreasing the use of fossil fuels. India is lagging in the rooftop target of 40GW, which was stated in 2021 by the GOI, with only 11.07 GW realized. Upto 31-12-23. On the other side, Gujarat is on top by deploying 2.9 GW SRT in the country.

Q. What are B-Solar’s future plans and strategies for expanding its reach in terms of geographical locations and market segments for solar projects?

B-solar plans to expand in the future:we already cover all sectors of Gujarat, including residential, industrial, and commercial, and we have groundmounted projects in the works. We want to expand into the nearby states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
