AMPIN Energy Transition has secured a 199 MW solar project integrated with an 800 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) under the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Tranche VII tender for Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE). The project was awarded at a competitive tariff, further strengthening the company’s position in hybrid renewable energy solutions.

The ISTS-connected project is designed to deliver reliable, firm, and dispatchable renewable power by integrating solar generation with large-scale energy storage. The addition of approximately 800 MWh of storage will enable the project to meet peak-hour supply requirements and enhance grid stability.

According to the company, the project is expected to generate around 300 million units of renewable energy annually and help avoid over 270,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. With this win, AMPIN’s utility-scale portfolio has grown to approximately 3.5 GWp of renewable capacity and 2.5 GWh of storage, backed by a diversified base of high-rated offtakers.

The company stated that the achievement reinforces its leadership in hybrid renewable projects and underlines its commitment to advancing India’s energy transition through reliable, affordable, and dispatchable clean power solutions.

The project marks another milestone in AMPIN’s strategy to combine solar, wind, and energy storage technologies to meet the country’s growing demand for firm renewable energy.
