Bajel Projects Ltd. has signed a collaboration agreement with National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) and AnantGrid Pvt. Ltd. to jointly explore opportunities in India’s power transmission sector as the country accelerates its renewable energy expansion.

The partnership aims to leverage NIIF’s investment and asset management expertise, AnantGrid’s project development and management capabilities, and Bajel’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) strengths to deliver cost-efficient and timely transmission projects.

The collaboration comes as India ramps up efforts to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, creating strong demand for modern and reliable transmission infrastructure to integrate large-scale renewable power into the grid.
Rajesh Ganesh, MD & CEO of Bajel Projects Ltd., said that the collaboration will enable the partners to participate in India’s expanding transmission ecosystem while continuing Bajel’s focus on EPC execution.

Bimal Dayal, CEO of AnantGrid, said that power transmission will play a critical role in India’s energy transition and rising electricity demand, adding that the partnership will help develop high-quality and reliable transmission assets.

The collaboration framework will focus on jointly bidding for projects and delivering transmission infrastructure aligned with the priorities of the Government of India in renewable energy integration, grid modernization, and increased private sector participation. Avener Capital acted as the sole financial advisor to Bajel for the transaction.
