ENGIE India and PTC India Limited have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore opportunities in market-based renewable energy offtake structures, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The agreement builds on the strong momentum created by the 100 MW solar power purchase agreement (PPA) signed between the two companies just four months ago.
Under the MoU, both organisations will collaborate to develop flexible and innovative clean-energy procurement models aimed at supporting India’s evolving power market. The partnership will also focus on the development of BESS projects to enhance grid resilience, reliability, and overall system flexibility as renewable energy penetration increases.
A key component of the collaboration includes knowledge sharing, with ENGIE bringing its global expertise to identify emerging opportunities in India’s fast-growing renewable energy landscape. The companies will also explore additional areas of cooperation aligned with India’s broader clean-energy transition goals.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment by ENGIE India and PTC India to expand the country’s renewable energy ecosystem and deliver long-term value for stakeholders, communities, and the power sector. By combining PTC India’s market presence with ENGIE’s international experience in renewable energy and storage, the partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of innovative energy solutions across the country.
