Equinix, the world’s digital infrastructure company®, has announced the commissioning of the Group Captive Solar project under its long-term renewable energy Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CleanMax.

This marks a significant milestone in its sustainability journey and its commitment to achieving 100% renewable energy coverage across global operations by 2030.

As part of the PPA, 26.4 MWp of solar capacity went online as of November 1, 2025 — enough to power over 30,000 Indian households annually.

“We are pleased to announce the commissioning of the solar project in India. This project is expected to generate 41.4 million KWh of solar energy annually and reduce carbon emissions by over 30,000 tonnes of Co2 each year.  This milestone not only reinforces our commitment to sustainability but also represents a key step forward in our journey towards achieving 100% renewable energy coverage across our global operations. By leveraging this clean energy capacity, we continue to reduce our carbon footprint and support our customers in India,” said Manoj Paul, Managing Director, India, Equinix.
