Fujiyama Power Systems has officially been included in the ALMM-II solar cell list issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), adding new approved domestic manufacturing capacity to India’s upstream photovoltaic supply chain.

Under the listing, the company has secured approval for an annual solar cell manufacturing capacity of 437 MW. The facility produces bifacial mono PERC solar cells with efficiency levels of around 23% and above. The manufacturing unit is located in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, and is now eligible to supply cells for government-backed and ALMM-mandated solar projects across the country.

The inclusion of Fujiyama Power Systems in the ALMM-II list is expected to strengthen domestic sourcing options for solar developers, particularly as India accelerates utility-scale installations and policy-linked renewable energy programmes.

The move aligns with the government’s broader strategy to promote backward integration in solar manufacturing and reduce dependence on imported components. With more domestic cell manufacturers joining the approved list, the development signals growing momentum for India’s clean energy manufacturing ecosystem and long-term solar deployment pipeline.
