Green Drive Mobility Collaborates with South Central Railway

Green Drive Mobility, a multi-stack electric vehicle fleet operator, has collaborated with South Central Railway in the pilot launch of the Rail Parcel App at Rail Nilayam, Hyderabad. This initiative represents a major leap in digitising parcel movement across the railway network and reflects the beginning of a new era in technology-enabled, customer-focused and sustainable logistics.

The Rail Parcel App has been introduced as a first-of-its-kind digital parcel marketplace in the Indian Railways ecosystem. It has been built to offer seamless online booking, real-time tracking and door-to-door delivery, thereby simplifying the parcel delivery service for all, including individuals, small businesses and large enterprises. The pilot has been rolled out in cities including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru and Chennai, thereby indicating the scale and ambition of the initiative, which can be a strong base for a national rollout.

This collaboration reflects a shared vision between Green Drive Mobility and South Central Railway to modernise freight services through digital innovation and integrated mobility solutions. By combining rail infrastructure with advanced logistics coordination and last-mile EV fleet support, the initiative creates a transparent, accessible and environmentally responsible logistics framework aligned with India’s digital and sustainability goals.

By utilising India’s massive railway infrastructure and enhancing it through technology and electric fleet integration, the initiative is promoting reliability, accessibility and environmentally friendly transportation options.
