ITI Invites Bids for 100–500 MW Solar Module Manufacturing Lines in Prayagraj

ITI Limited has invited bids for setting up an automated solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing line at its Naini unit in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, as part of its push to expand into renewable energy manufacturing.

The tender allows bidders to propose manufacturing capacities of 100 MW, 250 MW, or 500 MW, providing flexibility to scale the project based on commercial viability and technical evaluation.

The project will be executed on a turnkey basis, covering the supply, installation, commissioning, and optimization of a fully automated solar module production line. The facility is designed to manufacture high-efficiency modules using advanced technologies and large-format solar cells.

A key feature of the tender is a buy-back clause, under which the selected bidder will be required to take over the existing 18 MW solar module manufacturing line installed at the Naini facility.

The bid submission deadline is April 4, 2026, with the procurement process following a two-bid system comprising technical and financial proposals. Bidders are required to pay a tender document fee of ₹20,000 and submit an earnest money deposit (EMD), with exemptions applicable for MSMEs as per government norms.

To qualify, bidders must have prior experience in executing similar solar manufacturing projects and meet specified financial criteria, including a minimum turnover threshold and positive net worth.

This initiative reflects ITI Limited’s strategy to diversify beyond its traditional telecom business and strengthen its presence in India’s growing solar manufacturing ecosystem, in line with the country’s push for domestic production.
