KP Group, one of India’s leading integrated renewable energy and infrastructure conglomerates, has announced the appointment of Mr. Rajesh Shrivastava as Executive Director, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s ongoing leadership expansion and transformation journey.
With nearly four decades of distinguished leadership experience across the power, infrastructure, EPC, and renewable energy sectors, Mr. Shrivastava joins KP Group at a pivotal phase of accelerated growth, diversification, and scale enhancement.
Mr. Shrivastava brings with him an exceptional track record of leading some of India’s largest and most complex energy transition and infrastructure programs. Over the course of his 37-year career, he has been associated with more than 30GW of power projects across conventional and renewable energy domains, including over 10GW of renewable energy projects under execution and development.
Prior to joining KP Group, he served as President, G Business Head – Renewable Energy Development at Reliance New Energy, where he played a pivotal role in the planning and execution strategy for one of the world’s most ambitious renewable energy ecosystems in Kutch involving 150 GWp solar capacity and large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Earlier, as Chief Executive Officer of Aditya Birla Renewables, he led the rapid expansion of the renewable energy portfolio from approximately 645MW to over 3.2 GW within a span of two years, while also shaping the Group’s long-term decarbonization roadmap and future green energy initiatives.
During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer at Adani Green Energy, Mr. Shrivastava successfully led the execution of one of India’s largest hybrid renewable energy projects comprising approximately 2.3GW solar and 760MW wind capacity at a single location during the COVID period, while also contributing to the company’s strategic expansion toward 25 GW capacity.

Known for his strong engineering fundamentals and visionary business leadership, Mr. Shrivastava has led multiple first-of-their-kind initiatives involving renewable hybrid systems, digitized project management platforms, large-scale land infrastructure development, and next-generation clean energy solutions.
A Gold Medalist in Civil Engineering, Mr. Shrivastava holds an M.Tech in Structures from IIT Mumbai and has completed executive management studies at INSEAD Singapore. He has also been recognized among the Top 15 Global Leaders by Toshiba Corporation, Japan for his outstanding leadership contributions.
