1. Macwin Solar currently operates an 800 MW annual solar panel production facility in Surat and plans to scale to 2 GW. What new expansion or product launches will you showcase at REI Expo that reflect this growth?

2. Your product line includes P-TYPE M-10 (525-560 W), N-TYPE (570-620 W), and G-12   series (595-650 W) modules. How are you enhancing module efficiency, durability, or performance with these offerings and will you be detailing the technical improvements at REI?

Our product portfolio has been carefully designed to meet the evolving needs of the solar industry. With the P-TYPE M-10 modules (525–560 W), we deliver a highly reliable and cost-effective solution that balances performance with affordability. Our N-TYPE modules (570–620 W) represent the next leap in efficiency, offering better temperature coefficients, higher bifacial gains, and longer performance warranties. Meanwhile, the G-12 series (595–650 W) is built for utility-scale projects, delivering ultra-high power output and reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) significantly.

At Macwin Solar, our focus is not only on higher wattage but also on enhancing real-world performance. We are integrating advanced cell technologies, improved anti-PID/LeTID resistance, stronger mechanical load tolerance, and next-gen encapsulation materials to ensure maximum durability and longer lifecycle performance. 3.   Sustainability is part of your manufacturing philosophy, with green manufacturing and minimizing waste. Can you explain specific processes or innovations Macwin is implementing (or will present at REI) for eco-friendly production?

At Macwin Solar, we believe clean energy must begin with clean manufacturing. Sustainability is at the heart of our philosophy, and we are continuously investing in processes that minimize our environmental footprint.

In our Surat facility, we have adopted closed-loop water recycling systems to reduce water usage, and advanced material recovery processes to recycle silicon, glass, and aluminum, ensuring minimal production waste. We are also transitioning towards lead-free soldering materials and fluorine-free backsheets, making our modules more eco-friendly across their lifecycle.

Energy efficiency is another key focus — our upcoming 2 GW expansion will be powered by rooftop solar installations and energy-efficient equipment, significantly reducing dependence on grid electricity and lowering carbon emissions. Additionally, we are digitizing production with AI-enabled smart monitoring to cut down process inefficiencies and resource wastage.

Scaling up production in the solar industry is always a complex endeavor, and at Macwin Solar, we have navigated several key challenges while expanding our Surat facility and preparing for our 2 GW capacity milestone. One of the primary challenges has been maintaining consistency in module quality at higher volumes. As production scales, even minor variations can impact performance and reliability. To address this, we have invested heavily in AI-enabled smart manufacturing, rigorous in-line quality control, and automation, ensuring every module meets our strict performance and durability standards.

Another significant challenge is supply-chain stability, particularly in sourcing high-quality cells, glass, and other critical components. Rapid demand growth can put pressure on suppliers and logistics, potentially causing delays or variability in inputs. We have tackled this by developing strategic partnerships with trusted global and domestic suppliers, maintaining buffer inventories, and optimizing procurement processes to ensure uninterrupted production.

Finally, rapid scaling also demands continuous workforce training and process standardization. We have implemented specialized training programs, standard operating procedures, and real-time monitoring systems to ensure operational excellence across all shifts.

At Macwin Solar, while India remains our core market, we see tremendous opportunities in international markets where demand for high-efficiency, reliable solar modules is rapidly growing. We are strategically targeting regions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and select European markets where utility-scale and commercial solar projects are expanding. Our focus is on delivering high-power modules like the G-12 and N-TYPE series, which combine advanced efficiency, durability, and long-term performance — features that global customers increasingly prioritize.

REI Expo provides the perfect platform for Macwin Solar to showcase our readiness for global markets. 7.  Looking ahead 3-5 years, what is Macwin’s roadmap for innovation (e.g. bifacial modules, higher wattage, tracking, storage synergy, hybrid systems)? And in what way will your REI participation communicate that vision to potential clients and partners?

Looking ahead, Macwin Solar is focused on driving next-generation solar innovations that meet the evolving needs of both domestic and international markets. Over the next 3–5 years, our roadmap includes the development of bifacial modules, ultra-high wattage G-12 and N-TYPE series, and advanced tracking-compatible solutions to maximize energy yields. We are also exploring storage synergy and hybrid systems, enabling integrated solar-plus-storage solutions that provide greater flexibility, grid stability, and round-the-clock energy supply.
