As deployment volumes rise nationwide, after-sales support is as important as product quality. Our IoT-enabled monitoring systems and QR-based module service support provide real-time traceability down to the invoice and EL image. Coupled
with predictive maintenance tools, customers can prevent downtime before it happens.
Q. With global solar capacity adding 380 GW in H1 2025 alone, how is Icon Solar aligning its capacity expansion, technology roadmap, and product mix to capture this unprecedented growth opportunity?
The first half of 2025 alone added 380 GW of global solar capacity, which shows how quickly the market is scaling. At Icon Solar, we are expanding in step with this momentum. Our capacity is growing from 2.6 GW to multifold GW of modules by 2030, supported by a 4 GW cell line by 2027. On the technology side, our product mix is shifting from high-efficiency Mono PERC to TOPCon and G12R rectangular modules, ensuring we meet the demand for higher wattage and better performance
across both utility and rooftop segments. The roadmap is simple: scale responsibly, innovate continuously, and stay aligned with the world’s clean energy transition.
Q. As India moves towards the mid2026 mandate for domestically produced solar cells, how is your Odishabased TOPCon facility positioned to not just meet compliance but emerge as a benchmark for efficiency and scale in the region?
Icon Solar’s upcoming 2 GW TOPCon cell facility in Odisha is designed not just for compliance with India’s mid-2026 domestic mandate but to set new benchmarks in efficiency and scale. Equipped with fully automated lines and advanced N-Type technology, the plant will deliver worldclass cells tailored for both DCR and non-DCR markets. By combining innovation, quality, and cost competitiveness, the Odisha facility positions Icon Solar as a regional leader driving India’s clean energy independence and global solar excellence.
Q. How are Icon Solar’s IoTenabled monitoring systems, QRbased service support, and predictive maintenance tools improving plant reliability and customer satisfaction as module deployments scale nationwide?
As deployment volumes rise nationwide, aftersales support is as important as product quality. Our IoT-enabled monitoring systems and QRbased module service support provide real-time traceability down to the invoice and EL image. Coupled with predictive maintenance tools, customers can prevent downtime before it happens. This not only increases plant reliability but also builds long-term trust—turning every installation into a relationship, not just a transaction.
Q.Icon Solar-En aims to scale up to 10–20 GW by 2030 while also expanding into solar PV cell manufacturing. How do you plan to balance rapid growth with sustainable and responsible practices?
Scaling to 10–20 GW by 2030 is ambitious, but growth cannot come at the cost of sustainability. We are embedding responsible practices across the value chain—energy-efficient factories, ecofriendly materials, and strong recycling initiatives.
Social responsibility also guides us: from rural electrification projects to skill development programs, we see growth as an opportunity to create shared value for customers, communities, and the climate.
Q. How are Icon Solar’s advanced panel technologies, from PERC to TOPCon, helping you serve both rooftop and utility-scale projects in extreme climate conditions?
Icon Solar’s advanced N-Type TOPCon modules deliver high efficiency, superior temperature performance, and durability against harsh conditions like heat, humidity, and dust. With bifacial designs, strong load resistance, and long warranties, they ensure reliable energy output for both rooftop and utility-scale projects, even in extreme climates.
Q. India’s solar policies increasingly emphasize supply chain resilience and upstream integration. How is Icon Solar preparing for wafers, cells, and backward integration to maximize benefits from national incentives and ensure long-term ompetitiveness?
Global disruptions have shown that supply chains must be resilient. Icon Solar is preparing to integrate upstream into wafers and cells, leveraging India’s production-linked incentives (PLI). By aligning with national programs, we reduce dependency on
imports, secure better cost structures, and position ourselves as a long-term competitive manufacturer with full backward integration.
Q. With rising demand for hybrid solutions, is Icon Solar developing bundled offerings that integrate solar, storage, and smart energy management systems, particularly for C&I, rural, and backup power markets?
The future is not just solar—it’s solar plus storage plus smart energy management. We are developing bundled offerings that bring together high-efficiency panels, lithium-ion/flow batteries, and AI-driven energy management systems. These are especially relevant for C&I users, rural micro-grids, and backup markets, where reliability is as important as affordability.
Q. At REI Expo 2025, what cutting-edge innovations from high-efficiency TOPCon modules to digital service frameworks will Icon Solar highlight, and what strategic partnerships or market expansion goals are you aiming to achieve through the platform?
At REI 2025, Icon Solar will highlight our nextgeneration TOPCon 620–625 Wp G12R modules, alongside our digital service ecosystem for predictive maintenance and QR-enabled plant intelligence. Beyond product innovation, we will use this platform to forge strategic partnerships in distribution, storage integration, and international exports. Our goal is not just to showcase panels but to present Icon Solar as a complete clean energy solutions partner.
