ReNew Energy Global Plc said on Thursday it has avoided 14.1 million metric tons of carbon emissions in fiscal year 2022–23, a figure nearly 400 times more than its own Scope 1 and 2 emissions for the same period. In its latest sustainability report, the firm revealed that it produced 17,385 GWh of clean energy during the financial year, enough to power five million Indian homes annually. The report highlights the company's strategic progress towards its net-zero goals by 2040, validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTI). ReNew's board exemplifies gender diversity, with 40% representation in line with global standards. The company's corporate social responsibility initiatives have reportedly reached over one million individuals across 500 villages in India.
