On Friday, Sunsure Energy said that it has agreed to buy power from pump and valve maker KSB Ltd. for the next 25 years. They will give about one crore units of green power each year. Sunshine will establish this captive renewable energy project with KSB Limited as the sole user of power, as per the report.
It further stated that this green energy commitment will be fulfilled through the open access supply of power to several facilities of KSB Limited in Maharashtra. This will enable KSB Limited to achieve clean energy by offsetting 221 million kg of CO2 over the next 25 years, which is equivalent to planting 3.5 lakh trees.
“This agreement will help us achieve our sustainability goals by offsetting a large portion of our overall CO2 emissions,” said Rajeev Jain, managing director KSB Ltd.
