We all share this beautiful planet, growing, learning, and hopefully, taking care of it. However, in today’s world, the lack of awareness about eco-friendly habits is causing our Mother Earth to encounter some serious issues such as pollution, smog, gas emissions, uncleanliness, excessive waste, and water pollution. That’s where education plays a major role, it is necessary to aware others to adapt Eco-friendly habits. The more we know about the environment, the smarter we become about protecting it. Understanding how our actions, like using too much plastic or using AC all day, can mess up the planet’s delicate balance.
As per UNESCO, one of the best ways to tackle climate change is to invest in education. It will give everyone the information, abilities, attitudes, and values needed to take action against climate change. If we learn more about the environment, then we will be able to understand challenges, opportunities & solutions. So, we have to learn about climate change, pollution, natural resource depletion, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly living hacks to make our contributions to the environment.
“Education is not just about memorizing facts.” It is about learning how to think critically, solve problems, and take action. Education is not just for kids. It is for everyone. When we learn about the impact of our choices, we are more likely to make changes in our own lives. We can start with minimal activities like ditching plastic, turning off equipments when not in use, using renewable energy sources, planting trees, deliberate consumption, reducing waste etc.
Projects can be launched in schools that are needed to maintain sustainability. It is the best example for promoting a green and eco-friendly way of living. Virtual reality field trips can be arranged where students can experience connection with nature. Some simulation games can be launched to spread awareness about sustainability among the younger generation. Recycling, tree plantation drives, sustainability competitions can be arranged to encourage the students to practically learn about clean and green energy. Seminars/workshops, industrial visits in school/colleges can be arranged to educate students and communities about the importance of sustainable living. Technology can be used to spread information to a broader audience. Navitas Solar is engaged in supporting various Educational CSR initiatives. We have collaborated with Ekal Vidhyalaya & 140 villages in Gujarat to focus on improving the lives of tribal communities through dedicated educational sessions that promote holistic well-being and help in giving up addictions. We have also planted 5000 trees in Pulwama Shahid Vann project in collaboration with Forest Creators. Recognizing the importance of skill development, we have joined hands with Anil Naik Technical Training Centre to empower school dropouts in villages in south Gujarat with skill training.
We have also launched a JYOTI initiative to sensitize the younger generation about mindful utilization of natural resources by making them aware of the environment, sustainability and carbon neutrality. The initiative touches upon the sustainable development goals of quality education, and affordable & clean energy. We have organized various industrial visits, lectures for the students and we are proud to announce that Navitas Solar has sensitized over 2500+ students till now through the initiative. We have done many MOUs with academics and have done efforts to bridge the gap between industry and academics.
We at Navitas Solar are manufacturing solar modules which lasts with us for 25-30 years of life. We educate the students about using solar power and its various advantages. We give them live experience of the industry so that they can themselves check how the modules are manufactured and how by using solar energy, electricity bills can be reduced by shifting towards clean and green energy from fossil fuels.
