WIKA India, is participating Chem Expo 2023 in order to showcase its product range of test and measurement instrumentation suitable for the Chemical Industry. The German subsidiary of WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG, is poised to showcase products like digital temperature transmitters, resistance thermometers, high-pressure thermocouples stainless steel pressure gauges, bypass level indicators, portable process calibrators and many others, which are targeted at Chemical industry, that is slated for a big demand push given the numerous applications that the industry has.
ChemExpo India 2023, is being organised between April 18-19 in Mumbai with nearly 240 exhibitors showcasing capabilities in plant, equipment and chemical logistics. It is expecting a footfall of over 19000 visitors. The event is co-located with ChemProTech India – focused on chemical process technologies, equipment & supplies and ChemLogistics India – focused on chemical warehousing, transport and logistics targeting 360 degree coverage of Chemical industry.

The chemical industry makes extremely high demands on all instruments used within the process. They are subject to strict international directives like the PED and ATEX. Electronic and mechanical measuring instruments for pressure, temperature and level are used for general applications as well as in hazardous areas and must operate as satisfactorily in aggressive environments as in non-aggressive environments. In order to ensure long-term process safety under these difficult circumstances, a regular calibration of the measuring instruments is recommended.
According to Brand Equity Foundation, The Indian chemicals industry stood at US$ 178 billion in 2019 and is expected to reach US$ 304 billion by 2025 registering a CAGR of 9.3% The Indian chemical industry is the sixth largest in the world, and the Indian market is widely recognized as the last big market that still has considerable headspace for growth. The industry has been clocking double-digit growth for several years, and the pace of investments is expected to pick up as the government looks to boost local manufacturing through Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
