Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NCL Industries Limited (Nagarjuna Cement) to supply solar power to its integrated cement manufacturing and grinding facilities across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Under the agreement, Roofsol Energy will develop and operate rooftop solar power plants across multiple sites, supporting Nagarjuna Cement’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources for its industrial operations.

NCL Industries Limited is a diversified manufacturing company with a strong presence in the construction materials sector, producing Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), particle boards, ready-mix concrete (RMC), and allied products. The company operates modern manufacturing facilities and maintains a robust distribution network serving infrastructure and construction projects across India.

As part of the project scope, rooftop solar installations will be set up at Nagarjuna Cement’s facilities in both states, contributing to the company’s clean energy procurement strategy. The solar systems are expected to support energy efficiency goals while reducing the carbon footprint of cement manufacturing operations.

The agreement highlights the growing adoption of long-term solar PPAs by energy-intensive industries as they seek cost stability, energy security, and alignment with sustainability objectives.
