SECI Posts ₹502 Crore Net Profit in FY25, Marking 15% Growth

State-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) yesterday reported a 15% increase in net profit, reaching ₹501.92 crore for the fiscal year 2024–25, primarily driven by higher revenue. According to the audited standalone financial results for the year ended March 31, 2025, SECI has recorded revenue from operations of ₹15,185.10 crore and a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹501.92 crore, the company said in a statement.

In comparison, SECI reported revenue from operations of ₹13,035.07 crore for the financial year 2023–24, with a PAT of ₹436.03 crore. “This outstanding performance underscores the corporation’s strong commitment to financial discipline and its consistent ability to deliver on institutional goals with excellence,” said Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Chairman & Managing Director (Additional Charge), SECI.

He further stated that surpassing the ₹15,000 crore revenue marks and achieving a ₹500 crore PAT milestone signifies a major advancement in SECI’s financial trajectory. These results enhance the organisation’s capacity to support large-scale initiatives, particularly in emerging sectors like energy storage, green hydrogen, and offshore wind, he added.

SECI’s financial performance in FY 2024–25 is bolstered by its expanding role in power trading, project execution, and the implementation of key Government of India initiatives. With its newly acquired Navratna status and a robust pipeline of clean energy projects, SECI continues to be a pivotal force in driving India’s clean energy transition.
