Trials Successfully Completed, Patna Metro’s Priority Corridor Gears Up for Launch

Patna is set to witness a major milestone in its urban mobility journey as the city’s metro project edges closer to reality. Officials confirmed that trial runs on the priority corridor of the Patna Metro have been successfully conducted, clearing the way for its formal launch later this month.

The priority corridor, which is part of the first phase of the ambitious metro network, has been designed to ease traffic congestion in the city and provide faster, more reliable public transport to daily commuters. During the trials, trains were tested for safety systems, track performance, signaling, and passenger facilities, all of which reportedly met operational standards.

Authorities highlighted that the upcoming inauguration will mark a significant step forward in Bihar’s public transport infrastructure, reducing travel time across key routes and cutting down dependency on road traffic. The metro is also expected to encourage a shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly mobility.

Once operational, the Patna Metro’s initial services will gradually expand to cover more stretches under construction, eventually connecting major hubs of the city and benefiting thousands of passengers every day.
