Vikram Solar Bags 250 MW Solar Project Order from Bondada Group in Maharashtra

Vikram Solar, a leading manufacturer of solar PV modules, has secured a 250 MW supply order for n-type solar modules from the Bondada Group. These modules will be deployed in a large-scale solar project in Maharashtra, with deliveries scheduled to commence in FY 2025–26.

Accelerating Maharashtra’s Renewable Energy Vision

The supply agreement marks a strategic advancement for both companies. Vikram Solar highlighted that the project reinforces its dedication to expanding India’s renewable energy capacity while supporting Maharashtra’s clean energy goals.

Bondada Raghavendra Rao, Managing Director of the Bondada Group, emphasised that the partnership will significantly accelerate the group’s ambition to achieve 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. “With more than 3 GW of projects underway and fresh opportunities arising from collaborations like this, we are strategically positioned to deliver impactful, purpose-driven infrastructure with unmatched speed, innovation, and execution excellence,” he added.

Vikram Solar: Scaling Up Globally Vikram Solar currently boasts an installed manufacturing capacity of 4.5 GW across its state-of-the-art facilities in Kolkata and Chennai, with aggressive expansion underway. The company aims to increase its capacity to 10.5 GW by FY 2026 and further scale to 15.5 GW by FY 2027, solidifying its position as a leader in India’s solar manufacturing industry. On the global front, Vikram Solar has recently entered the U.S. market through a strategic joint venture with Phalanx Impact Partners and Das & Co., targeting the establishment of a 6 GW vertically integrated solar manufacturing facility in Colorado.
