Websol Energy System Limited has secured three purchase orders aggregating 85.5 MW for solar modules, with a total order value of approximately Rs 172 crore. The orders are currently under production and are scheduled for delivery by May 2026.

The orders have been received from Bekem Infra Projects, Sri Avantika Contractors, and Kosol Energie, reinforcing the company’s presence in the domestic solar market.

In its business update filed with the stock exchanges, the company also clarified that the recently imposed U.S. tariffs on solar imports will have no impact on its operations, as Websol does not currently export to the United States.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Sohan Lal Agarwal, Managing Director, Websol Energy System Limited, said, “These new orders reflect the confidence our partners place in Websol’s capabilities and reinforce our position in the Indian solar market. We are committed to timely execution of our client orders and to supporting India’s renewable energy goals.”

Websol is among the early manufacturers of solar photovoltaic cells and modules in India and specializes in high-efficiency solar cells and modules incorporating advanced Mono PERC technology.

The company operates a fully modernized manufacturing facility spread across approximately seven acres within the Falta Special Economic Zone in West Bengal. The facility currently has a solar cell manufacturing capacity of 1,200 MW and module manufacturing capacity of 550 MW.

With an integrated production model that manufactures both solar cells and modules in-house, Websol benefits from stronger supply chain control and operational flexibility to address evolving market dynamics.

The latest order win further strengthens the company’s order book and supports India’s ongoing renewable energy expansion.
