Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has issued a series of tenders spanning renewable energy generation, energy storage, grid infrastructure, and digital solutions, reinforcing its role in advancing India’s clean energy and power system transformation.

Among the key tenders are Requests for Selection (RfS) for renewable energy projects integrated with storage, including standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS), firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects, and pumped storage plants. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing grid reliability and enabling round-the-clock power supply as the share of renewable energy in the national grid continues to rise.

SECI has also invited bids for grid-connected rooftop solar projects on Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) buildings under its latest RTSPV tranche, supporting decentralised solar deployment and the expansion of renewable energy in public infrastructure.

In addition, the organisation has floated tenders for balance-of-system works for large solar PV projects, procurement of power transformers, and the development of power trading and asset management software. Other tenders focus on cybersecurity compliance and digital platforms for monitoring and managing renewable energy assets.

Further, SECI has invited proposals for consultancy and preparatory services related to emerging sectors such as green hydrogen, reflecting its expanding mandate beyond conventional solar and wind power procurement.

These tenders underscore SECI’s continued focus on strengthening India’s renewable energy ecosystem, integrating storage and flexibility solutions, modernising grid operations, and supporting the country’s long-term clean energy and decarbonisation objectives.
