KPI Green Energy Limited has received the commissioning certificate for 16.16 MWdc of solar power projects developed under its Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment as part of the Government of India’s flagship PM-KUSUM scheme.

The company informed stock exchanges that the projects have been commissioned within the operational area of Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL). With this milestone, KPI Green Energy has emerged as one of the early developers to secure commissioning approval under the PM-KUSUM scheme in the region.

According to the company, the commissioned capacity of 16.16 MWdc represents the highest installed solar capacity under the PM-KUSUM scheme within the DGVCL operational area to date. The projects were developed and commissioned within a comparatively short timeframe, highlighting the company’s execution capabilities.

The solar installations have commenced the supply of renewable energy to support agricultural pumping requirements, enabling reliable daytime power availability for farmers. The PM-KUSUM scheme is aimed at promoting decentralised solar power in the agricultural sector, reducing dependence on conventional and diesel-based energy sources, while enhancing energy and water security for farmers.

KPI Green Energy stated that the commissioning of these projects aligns with national renewable energy objectives and supports sustainable agricultural practices. The development also reinforces the company’s commitment to participating in government-led clean energy initiatives and farmer welfare programmes.

KPI Green Energy Limited continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio across India, with a focus on solar power generation under both utility-scale and decentralised frameworks.
