Adani Solar has been recognized as India’s highest-ranked solar PV module manufacturer in the latest Wood Mackenzie Global Solar PV Module Manufacturer Ranking 2026, reinforcing the company’s growing prominence in the global solar manufacturing landscape.
The annual assessment by Wood Mackenzie evaluated leading module manufacturers worldwide across multiple parameters, including manufacturing scale, technology maturity, financial strength, supply chain resilience, ESG performance, product reliability, and research and development capabilities. Adani Solar secured the highest position among Indian manufacturers and was ranked among the global top performers.
The recognition comes at a time when the global solar manufacturing industry is navigating changing trade policies, localization requirements, and continued market oversupply. Despite these challenges, Adani Solar’s strong manufacturing capabilities, operational efficiency, and integrated supply chain have enabled it to strengthen its position in both domestic and international markets.
Wood Mackenzie’s analysis highlighted the increasing emergence of non-Chinese manufacturers as global supply chains diversify. Adani Solar’s performance reflects India’s growing role in the global solar manufacturing ecosystem and the country’s efforts to build a robust domestic clean energy supply chain.
The achievement further underscores the rapid progress of India’s solar manufacturing sector, supported by policy initiatives aimed at enhancing domestic production capabilities and reducing dependence on imports. As demand for solar energy continues to rise worldwide, manufacturers with strong technological capabilities, financial resilience, and scalable production infrastructure are expected to play an increasingly important role in supporting the global energy transition.
