Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited (ONGPL), has commissioned an additional 50 MW of solar power capacity in Rajasthan. The project is being developed as part of a larger 300 MW solar installation integrated within a 200 MW Renewable Energy Round-The-Clock (RTC) project.
With the latest commissioning, the cumulative operational capacity of the solar component has reached 250 MW out of the planned 300 MW, marking another milestone in the project’s phased implementation. The newly commissioned capacity is the third tranche of the solar project and is scheduled for commercial operation from June 14, 2026.
The project is being executed through Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of ONGPL, the joint venture between ONGC and NTPC Green Energy. Following this addition, NTPC Green Energy’s total operational renewable energy capacity has increased to 10,671.40 MW.
The commissioning further strengthens the joint venture’s renewable energy portfolio and supports India’s ongoing efforts to expand utility-scale clean energy generation while enhancing the availability of round-the-clock renewable power.
