Transport Corporation of India Ltd. (TCI), one of India’s leading integrated multimodal logistics and supply chain solutions providers, has reported a steady financial performance for the first quarter of FY2027, driven by healthy demand from the automotive, consumer goods, and quick-commerce segments despite ongoing geopolitical and cost-related challenges.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, TCI posted consolidated revenue of ₹12,548 million, registering a 9.1% year-on-year growth compared to ₹11,506 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company’s EBITDA increased 5.2% to ₹1,599 million, while Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹1,066 million, marginally down 0.6% from ₹1,072 million in Q1 FY26.
Commenting on the performance, Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director, Transport Corporation of India Ltd., said the company delivered a stable quarter with revenue and profitability largely in line with expectations. He noted that demand from the automotive, consumer goods, and quick-commerce fulfilment sectors remained strong, while industries such as chemicals, tiles, and packaging experienced headwinds due to the impact of global conflicts. He added that TCI’s diversified multimodal operating model and extensive pan-India branch network enabled the company to maintain operational resilience during the quarter.
The company also highlighted that rising diesel and bunker fuel prices created cost pressures during the quarter. However, contractual fuel escalation mechanisms protected the majority of its business, while temporary delays in spot market cost recovery had only a limited impact. TCI said it remains focused on maintaining margin discipline, improving cost efficiency, and enhancing asset productivity across its logistics network.
Looking ahead, TCI expects business momentum to improve with the onset of the festive season, supported by stronger consumer demand. The company is also accelerating investments in technology and AI-driven capabilities to improve demand forecasting, route optimisation, and automation, aiming to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and sustainability across its logistics operations.
