Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 35 MW of wind power capacity in Gujarat as part of its 150 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project, taking the commissioned capacity of the project to 175 MWp against a total planned capacity of 190 MWp.
The company said the commissioning was witnessed and confirmed by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). The formal commissioning certificate is expected to be issued shortly.
With the latest addition, the project has reached 175 MWp of commissioned capacity. The development further strengthens Juniper Green Energy’s portfolio of wind, solar and hybrid renewable energy assets in Gujarat.
Following the commissioning, the aggregate operational capacity of Juniper Green Energy and its subsidiaries stood at approximately 2,639 MWp, along with around 500 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity.
The latest commissioning is part of Juniper Green Energy’s broader renewable energy expansion strategy, with the company continuing to add utility-scale wind, solar and hybrid projects across India.
Gujarat remains a key market for the company’s wind energy expansion. Juniper Green has previously commissioned wind and renewable energy projects in the state and is building its portfolio of integrated renewable generation assets.
The commissioning also highlights the growing role of wind-solar hybrid projects in combining complementary renewable generation sources and supporting the expansion of clean power capacity in India.
