Bansal Wire Strengthens Growth Momentum in H1 FY27 as EBITDA Soars by 3.7% to ₹161.7 Crore

Bansal Wire Industries Limited, the country’s largest stainless steel wire manufacturing company and the second-largest steel wire manufacturing company, announced its financial results for the second quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Pranav Bansal, MD & CEO, Bansal Wire Industries Limited said, “Q2FY27 set new records for sales volume, EBITDA and EBITDA per tonne. We sold 1.29L MT in the quarter, up 12.4% year-on-year and 15.1% over Q1FY27. EBITDA rose to ₹105.03 crore and EBITDA per tonne to ₹8,150.4, both the highest in our history. This has largely been achieved by a combination of a richer product mix and a more efficient Dadri plant.

Value-added products have started to gain traction. IHT wire is commissioned and started adding to the revenue. Steel Tyre Cord received its trial orders and is under customers’ evaluation. The OHT line is under installation, and the expansion will take combined IHT and OHT capacity from 9,000 MT to 15,000 MT by Q4 FY2027.

Overall utilization increased to 74% in Q2, up from 68% in FY26. This resulted in lower operating costs per tonne as fixed costs get spread over higher volumes.

Operating cash flow for H1FY27 was ₹339 crore, surpasses ₹333 crore generated in all of FY26. Working capital days are reduced from 75 to 49 over last two quarters. This came from changes we have made in last few quarters. The momentum is sustainable and shall continue in coming quarters.

Higher margins and lower working capital are lifting returns. ROCE was 22.3% for Q2FY27, against 15.4% in FY26. We have re-ordered our investment priorities towards higher-margin products and shorter payback projects. On this path, we remain on track to achieve our ROCE target of 25%.

For H2FY27, we will stay with what worked this half. Our priorities are higher utilisation at Dadri and a richer mix, funded largely from internal accruals.”
