FIMER Launches PVS990 Series Central Inverter at REI Expo 2026

FIMER participated in the Renewable Energy India Expo 2026, held from 22 to 24 October at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, India, where it showcased its portfolio of solar inverter and energy storage solutions for residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications.

The company presented its established products alongside new additions to its portfolio, highlighting technologies developed across its Italian and Indian manufacturing hubs. The showcase reflected FIMER’s industrial and commercial presence in India and key global markets.

Among the featured solutions were the Power Platform, comprising PowerUNO single-phase hybrid inverters and PowerTRIO three-phase hybrid inverters for residential applications. The company also showcased its PVS-100/120-TL inverters for C&I applications, now available as part of its Make in India offering, and the PVM-75/125-TL series, featuring a modular design and support for AC-coupled storage systems. Its next-generation PVM-415 utility-scale string inverter, rated at 415 kW, was also highlighted.

A key highlight of the exhibition was the launch of FIMER’s next-generation PVS990 series of utility-scale central inverters and battery energy storage system (BESS) power conversion systems (PCS). The product launch ceremony took place on 22 October at 12:30 PM IST.

The PVS990-2000 central inverter offers power ratings ranging from 2,000 kVA to 8,000 kVA, with a scalable architecture designed for multi-megawatt solar power plants. The platform is engineered to optimise conversion efficiency and reduce installation time while supporting the operational requirements of large-scale solar and energy storage projects.

The PVS990 series features global grid compliance, grid-support capabilities, including power quality management and fault ride-through (FRT), and high DC input voltage of up to 1,500 VDC. It also incorporates extensive DC- and AC-side protection, simplified commissioning without the need for separate chiller installation, and a versatile design intended to minimise system costs for large-scale photovoltaic plants.

The platform supports industrial data communication through SCADA systems and is backed by FIMER’s global service network, providing lifecycle services and technical support.

Commenting on the launch, KN Sreevatsa, Group Co-CEO, FIMER, said, “The PVS990 is the result of FIMER’s continued investment in R&D, shaped by the evolving needs and feedback of our customers across the global utility-scale market. We have brought together decades of power-electronics expertise, advanced engineering and real-world project insights to create a platform that is distinctive in its scalability, performance and grid-support capabilities. With the PVS990, we are redefining what customers can expect from utility-scale solar and storage systems. At FIMER, Power has a New Perspective.”

FIMER also highlighted its inverter solutions for retrofitting older solar power plants. These solutions are designed to help plant owners improve system performance, reliability and operational efficiency by upgrading inverter systems while maximising the value of existing infrastructure.

Through its participation in REI Expo 2026, FIMER showcased its focus on product innovation, advanced power electronics and customer-oriented solutions aligned with the evolving requirements of India’s renewable energy sector and the global solar and energy storage markets.
