Bijliride Celebrates Women’s Day with Campaign Promoting Women’s Economic Independence Through EV Mobility Jobs

Bijliride, India’s leading EV rental and mobility-tech startup, marked this Women’s Day with one of the most disruptive campaigns to encourage women to embrace new mobility-based work roles, thereby becoming self-reliant and economically independent.

In association with the Telangana Women Safety Wing (TWSW), Government of Telangana, Bijliride rolled out the TWSW programme to enable women to access driving-based livelihood opportunities across Hyderabad.

The programme, which commenced in the first week of February, trained and supported over 500 women to enter mobility-driven professions, including driving two-wheeler taxis and electric autos. Participants were guided through structured community outreach, skill development, licensing facilitation, and professional onboarding to help them unlock new income pathways.

As a responsible brand, the company is creating new opportunities for women to participate meaningfully in the city’s expanding electric mobility ecosystem. The collaboration aligns with TWSW’s mandate to promote the safety, dignity, and empowerment of women across the state, while also encouraging broader participation of women in Telangana’s evolving urban mobility ecosystem. The programme covered key regions of Hyderabad, and this partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering safer and more inclusive public spaces, while promoting greener and more sustainable modes of transport.

Speaking on the effort, Mr Vishal Vikram, Chief Marketing Officer, Bijliride, said, “At Bijliride, we believe mobility can be a powerful driver of social and economic change. Encouraging women take confident steps towards financial independence through this programme is especially meaningful as we mark Women’s Day. Our collaboration with the Telangana Women Safety Wing brings together safety, sustainability, and empowerment in a tangible way, and we are committed to scaling this impact further.”

The collaboration has been implemented as a non-financial, outcome-driven engagement, with both organisations contributing their respective expertise and resources. By combining institutional support from TWSW with Bijliride’s electric mobility capabilities, the partnership aims to create long-term, scalable outcomes for women’s economic participation in the mobility sector across Telangana.
