1. What makes the ALLBLACK Series specifically suited for the U.S. rooftop market, and how has the response been from international buyers so far?
At RE+ 2025, North America’s largest clean energy trade show, GREW Solar unveiled its new ALL-BLACK Series, purpose-built for the U.S. residential rooftop market. Combining a sleek, modern design that integrates seamlessly with rooftops and robust performance across diverse conditions—from low light to extreme heat and snow—the series is backed by a 25-year warranty. Early interest from international buyers has been highly encouraging, with commercial orders expected to begin next year. Complementing this, GREW Solar also showcased its G2G M10 TOPCon Series, delivering up to 590 Wp and engineered for superior dawn-to-dusk generation and durability in hot climates, underscoring the company’s commitment to high-quality, future-ready solar solutions across residential, commercial, and utility-scale segments.
2. How important is UFLPA compliance for GREW Solar’s U.S. market expansion, and what measures are in place to ensure seamless entry into other global markets?
UFLPA compliance marks a key step in GREW Solar’s U.S. market entry, ensuring full transparency and traceability across the supply chain. GREW audits suppliers, tracks materials, and maintains documentation that meets U.S. import requirements. Especially for solar cells, GREW audits the vendors’ supply chain starting from quarts till the solar cell to ensure compliance to UFLPA. Simultaneously, we secure global certifications like IEC and UL and adapt to regional grid codes, preparing our products for seamless entry into markets worldwide.
3. Can you elaborate on the unique testing protocols (25+ IEC in-house tests) and how they give GREW Solar modules an edge in terms of durability and reliability?
GREW Solar has partnered with IIT Bombay’s NCPRE via an MoU to combine GREW’s large-scale solar manufacturing expertise with IIT Bombay’s advanced research and testing capabilities, driving innovation, reliability, and skilled workforce development in India’s solar PV sector.
At our state-of-the-art in-house R&D and Reliability Lab, 25+ IEC-certified tests that replicate the toughest conditions a module will face in its lifetime are run. The R&D team pushes modules through thermal cycling, damp heat, UV exposure, mechanical load, all weather impact, and detailed electroluminescence checks. These tests expose micro-cracks, degradation, and other risks early, ensuring every module can endure diverse climates for decades. By subjecting products to this rigorous scrutiny before they reach the market, GREW assures customers of durability, safety, and consistent energy generation.
4. With expansion plans from 3 GW to 11 GW in PV modules and an upcoming 8 GW cell facility, how will this growth contribute to India’s positioning as a global solar manufacturing hub?
With strong government support through schemes like PLI and PM-KUSUM, and policy measures such as safeguard duty and BCD, Indian manufacturers now have a level playing field to grow. GREW Solar’s vision goes beyond meeting domestic demand and we aim to position India as a dependable global export hub. With an existing 3 GW PV module facility in Dudu (Jaipur) that is being scaled to 11 GW, and an upcoming 8 GW PV cell facility in Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh), we are directly contributing to India’s ambition of emerging as a global hub for solar manufacturing.
5. You mentioned GREW Solar’s in-house R&D facility. Could you share some upcoming innovations or efficiency improvements that developers can look forward to?
At GREW Solar, our in-house R&D and Reliability Lab is focused on creating products that deliver lasting value for developers. Recently, we launched the ALL-BLACK Series for residential and commercial rooftops, a 440 Wp module in a sleek, uniform design backed by a 25-year warranty. Our innovation pipeline is centered on N-type TOPCon technology. The G2G M10 TOPCon Series delivers up to 590 Wp with consistent performance across diverse environments, while our newly introduced G12R High-Power Series reaches up to 635 Wp—helping reduce the number of modules per MW and lowering installation costs.
Beyond higher efficiencies, every module undergoes 25+ IEC-certified tests, including thermal cycling, damp heat, hail, and mechanical load, to guarantee durability in real-world conditions. We further support developers with longer warranties and lower degradation rates, ensuring confidence in long-term energy output. Looking ahead, our R&D efforts are also driving us toward backward integration by 2026, enabling us to achieve new manufacturing milestones while continuously enhancing product reliability and efficiency.
6. How do you see GREW Solar’s role in accelerating the global clean energy transition, particularly with India now aiming for 100 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity?
India has just crossed 100 GW of installed solar power and recently overtaken Japan to become the third-largest solar energy generator in the world. Under current growth scenarios, India aims to increase solar PV (utility + rooftop) capacity to ~280-320 GW of solar by 2030. PV solar module manufacturing capacity to 125 GW, and PV solar cell manufacturing capacity also increases to 40GW by the end of the decade.
GREW Solar has recently secured ₹300 crore in funding from renowned investors, including Mr. Vijay Kedia and Mr. Rohit Kothari. This capital will be strategically invested in new product development, advanced technologies, and expanded manufacturing capacity, reinforcing our commitment to India’s vision of becoming a global solar manufacturing hub. We are scaling up to 11 GW of PV module manufacturing in Dudu, Rajasthan, and building an 8 GW solar cell facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. We are also solidifying our presence in the U.S. market, having launched the ALL BLACK module for the American market.
In line with the country’s renewable energy target of 500 GW by 2030—of which 280–300 GW is expected from solar— GREW Solar is focused on delivering high-quality, future-ready solar solutions that embody innovation, reliability, and sustainability. Our mission is to strengthen India’s position as a global solar manufacturing leader while driving energy independence and accelerating the clean energy transition at scale.
