KP Group, a prominent player in India’s renewable energy sector, has delivered outstanding financial performance for Q1 FY2025-26, setting a robust tone for the new fiscal year. Both entities under the group—KPI Green Energy Limited and KP Energy Limited—have demonstrated impressive yearover-year increases in revenue and profit, driven by growing demand for clean energy and the company’s expanding range of projects.
KPI Green Energy Limited
KPI Green Energy, the solar and hybrid energy division of KP Group, announced a revenue of ₹614 crore for Q1 FY25, marking a 75% increase compared to ₹350 crore in the same quarter last year. Profit after Tax (PAT) also rose significantly by 68%, reaching ₹111 crore, up from ₹66 crore during the corresponding period.
The company’s installed capacity has exceeded the 1 GW mark, while its total portfolio has grown to 4 GW, up from 2.8 GW just a year earlier. The Inde- pendent Power Producer (IPP) segment expanded to 1.7 GW, and the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment increased to 2.3 GW. KPI Green also holds a land bank spanning over 6,275 acres, along with an active order book surpassing 3 GW. As of August 4, 2025, the company’s market capitalisation was valued at ₹10,646 crore.
Looking forward, KPI Green is expanding into new areas with planned investments in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including a 5 MW captive project and active involvement in competitive tenders. The company is also entering the floating solar sector, which offers benefits such as land preservation, decreased water evaporation, and enhanced efficiency—making a significant contribution to rural electrification initiatives.
KP Energy Limited
KP Energy, the Group’s wind energy division providing comprehensive infrastructure solutions, reported revenue of ₹221 crore for Q1 FY26, marking a 63% rise from ₹135 crore in the same period last year. Profit after tax (PAT) grew by 40%, reaching ₹25 crore compared to ₹18 crore previously.
With a project pipeline exceeding 3.26 GW, including over 1.05 GW of commissioned capacity and more than 2.22 GW under development, KP Energy continues to strengthen its presence in the wind infrastructure sector. The company also manages a growing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) portfolio of over 595 MW. Actively exploring offshore wind opportunities in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, KP Energy has secured in-principle approval for 100 MW of ISTS connectivity, facilitating interstate power distribution. As of August 4, 2025, the company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹3,381 crore.
