We’ve aligned sustainability with commercial durability by focusing on enterprise and institutional customers where demand is stable and longterm partnerships enable planned fleet deployment and charging strategy—rather than chasing only ad-hoc demand.
The smarter E India Expo has become a key platform for India’s clean energy ecosystem. What is your vision for the upcoming edition, and how do you see the expo contributing to India’s energy transition journey?
Our vision is simple: make The smarter E India 2026 the place where India’s clean energy decisions become faster, clearer and more executable. Not just conversations, but real alignment between technology, policy and deployment across solar PV, solar thermal, energy storage, green hydrogen and electric mobility. In many ways, the industry is looking for one place to converge, compare and commit, which is why we position it as the Mahakumbh of Energy. The 2026 edition will be our largest ever, spread across 4 halls, reinforcing The smarter E India as India’s innovation hub for an integrated new energy world.
India’s renewable energy landscape is evolving rapidly with solar, storage, EVs, and digital energy solutions gaining momentum. How is the expo adapting to reflect these changes and remain relevant for industry stakeholders?
The market has moved beyond single solutions, and the expo mirrors that shift. Today, solar, storage, EV charging, grid intelligence and digital platforms are deeply interconnected, and The smarter E India is designed for this new reality. In 2025, we saw this shift clearly with 235 exhibitors, 13,832 visitors from 17 countries, 317 VIP buyers, and strong growth in exhibition space. That validation tells us the industry wants a platform that reflects where investments are going, and this momentum sets the base for 2026 to be bigger, sharper, and more business-focused. For 2026, we sharpen that focus through increased solution-oriented categories that support real deployment: smarter plants, smarter grids, smarter mobility, and smarter operations.
One of the strengths of The smarter E India is its integrated approach, bringing together solar, energy storage, e-mobility, and smart energy solutions. Why is this integrated model important for India’s energy future?
India’s clean energy future cannot be built in silos. Solar without storage is incomplete. EVs withouta charging infrastructure are fragmented. Digital tools without integration don’t deliver impact. That’s why the integrated model is critical. Sector coupling turns renewable energy into reliable energy by improving grid stability, increasing utilisation, and enabling smarter investments, from hybrid projects to fleet electrification. This integrated approach is exactly what makes the show the Mahakumbh of Energy: one ecosystem, one platform, one direction.
From manufacturers and developers to EPC players, utilities, and policymakers, the expo attracts a wide range of participants. What kind of value and business opportunities can exhibitors and visitors expect from this edition?
This is a business-first platform. Exhibitors and visitors can expect high-quality engagement with people who matter: those who approve projects, sign contracts, and scale deployments. In 2026, the opportunity expands with even stronger international and policy participation. Countries participating with pavilions include Algeria, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy and the United States, bringing a global edge to sourcing, partnerships, and technology benchmarking. Our Buyer–Seller Forum and structured formats are designed to convert intent into partnerships. In 2025, we facilitated engagement with 317 registered buyers, and in 2026, we are scaling that opportunity further through stronger matchmaking and deeper cross-sector participation. We are also strengthening strategic direction through a National Advisory Committee, along with continued engagement and collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, ensuring the platform remains aligned to India’s clean energy priorities and scale-up roadmap.
Innovation plays a crucial role in accelerating clean energy adoption. How does The Smarter E India Expo help
This theme reflects the shift India is making, from adopting clean energy to leading in innovation, manufacturing, and deployment at scale. We will continue high-impact formats like CEO-level dialogues and focused roundtables, building strong industrypolicy bridges, supported by the Government of Gujarat and our advisory leadership network. The smarter E India is not just a showcase. It is a dedicated industry convergence where knowledge meets decision-making.
showcase new technologies, emerging solutions, and next-generation energy systems?
Innovation is central to this platform, and this year we will push it even further. In 2025, our Start-up Pavilion, live formats like the Solar Championship / Installer Hackathon, and knowledge-led sessions created a high-energy environment for showcasing new technologies and enabling real on-ground learnings. In 2026, alongside the show floor, we’re creating a dedicated Innovators & Start-Up Arena to spotlight next-gen solutions across advanced PV, batteries, energy storage systems, smart charging, digital energy management, and clean tech. We’re also continuing industry-first content formats like the RE Industry Leaders Podcast Series, capturing real conversations with decisionmakers and innovators, not just stage talks. Add to this our strong live formats and demonstrations, and The smarter E India becomes a platform where innovation is not only showcased, it’s evaluated for real-world deployment.
Beyond the exhibition floor, conferences and knowledge sessions are a major component of the event. What key themes and discussions do you believe are most critical for the industry right now?
The industry’s priorities are clear: scale clean energy while staying reliable, affordable, bankable, and future-ready. That’s exactly what our 2026 conference will be built around, under the theme: “Adoption to Leadership: Powering Atmanirbhar Bharat through Technological Innovation”
Looking ahead, how do you see The smarter E India Expo evolving over the next few years, and what role do you envision it playing in shaping India’s renewable energy and smart energy ecosystem?
Over the next few years, The smarter E India will keep evolving as India’s most important integrated energy platform, because that is where the market is going: integration, collaboration, and faster execution. We will also deepen our role as the super-connector between technology and deployment, industry and policy, India and global markets. We will expand structured matchmaking, strengthen thought leadership, and keep pushing the integrated energy narrative that the transition demands. The goal is consistent: make The smarter E India the place where India’s clean energy ecosystem converges, aligns and moves forward together, so that participation translates into partnerships, pilots and scaled projects, making it the true Mahakumbh of Energy for the sector.
