NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the second part capacity of 165 MW out of the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat.
The capacity has been declared commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hours on February 20, 2026. The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL.
Following this commissioning, the total commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased from 8,827.68 MW to 8,992.68 MW.
At the group level, NTPC Limited’s total installed capacity now stands at 87,974 MW, while the total commercial capacity stands at 86,894 MW.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and submitted to both BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
The commissioning of this additional capacity strengthens NTPC Green’s renewable portfolio and supports NTPC Group’s ongoing expansion in large-scale solar energy development.
