A landmark in India’s clean energy transition! 🚀 PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for SECI’s 300 MW Solar PV Project in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh – the corporation’s largest self-owned solar project to date.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually laid the foundation stone of Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 300 MW (AC) Solar PV Project at Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh. Marking a major milestone in India’s clean energy journey, this project is SECI’s largest self-owned solar installation to date.

Spread across 1,047 acres, the project is poised to be a game-changer for the region, significantly contributing to India’s renewable energy (RE) targets and helping offset a substantial amount of carbon emissions.

Beyond powering the grid, the solar project is expected to drive holistic regional development. From upgraded utilities to improved connectivity, the initiative will not only boost infrastructure but also create direct and indirect employment opportunities, uplifting local communities.

Speaking on the occasion, SECI reiterated its commitment to accelerating India’s energy transition while ensuring that growth remains inclusive and sustainable.

As SECI continues to spearhead renewable energy deployment, landmark projects like the Ramagiri Solar PV Plant highlight the organization’s role in scaling up clean power capacity and shaping resilient, low-carbon communities across the country.
