Zelestra India entered into an MoU with the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) at the Partnership Summit 2025.
The Summit was jointly organized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, at Andhra University Engineering College, Visakhapatnam.
Announcing the collaboration, Parag Sharma, CEO of Zelestra India, stated, “We are delighted to commit an investment of ₹6,400 crore towards developing 1 GW of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Anantapur, Kurnool, and Kadapa districts in Andhra Pradesh. This strategic deployment underscores our conviction in India’s energy transition roadmap and the state’s favourable RE policy framework.
This also marks the beginning of Zelestra India’s long-term commitment to India’s gigawatt-scale renewable energy buildout. Our team brings in proven expertise in multi-technology project development and EPC capabilities to deliver bankable, high-yield assets that accelerate decarbonization while creating 1,500 direct and indirect jobs.
Andhra Pradesh offers robust evacuation infrastructure and progressive offtake mechanisms—making it an ideal geography for utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS deployment. Through this partnership with NREDCAP, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing India’s climate goals and strengthening energy security with sustainable solutions. We look forward to working closely with the Government of Andhra Pradesh and all stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project implementation.”
