Navratna PSU NLC India Limited has successfully completed the commissioning of its 300 MW Barsingsar Solar Power Project in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan, marking a major milestone in its renewable energy expansion.
The final segment of the project, a 141.17 MW block, was declared commercially operational on 24 January 2026 after receiving the Part Commissioning Certificate from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL). With this final phase now online, the entire 300 MW capacity is fully operational.
Located in Barsingsar village, the project was implemented in three phases. The first phase of 52.83 MW was commissioned in August 2025, followed by the second phase of 106 MW in November 2025.
With the Barsingsar solar plant now fully commissioned, NLC India’s renewable energy capacity has risen to 1,766 MW, reinforcing its commitment to clean energy and sustainability. This achievement also contributes to the company’s broader strategy of expanding its renewable portfolio and supporting India’s energy transition goals.
The Barsingsar project was developed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), highlighting NLC India’s efforts to align with national priorities for renewable energy growth.
