Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has commissioned a 50 MW solar power project at its Khavda renewable energy complex in Gujarat, further strengthening its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy developers. The project has been operationalized through the company’s wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Five.
The company stated that the project commenced power generation on June 1, 2026, following the receipt of all necessary approvals and clearances. The latest addition increases AGEL’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity to 19,835.8 MW.
The commissioning marks another milestone in the rapid development of the Khavda renewable energy park, which is emerging as one of the world’s largest clean energy hubs. The site has become a focal point for AGEL’s large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage investments aimed at supporting India’s clean energy transition.
The new solar project follows AGEL’s recent deployment of substantial battery energy storage capacity at Khavda. The company has operationalized a cumulative 3.37 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the site, making it the world’s largest single-location battery storage deployment outside China.
With continuous capacity additions across solar generation and energy storage infrastructure, Adani Green Energy is accelerating progress toward its long-term renewable energy expansion targets while contributing to grid reliability and large-scale integration of clean power into India’s energy mix.
