Suzlon Group, India’s leading renewable energy solutions provider, has reported a strong start to FY27, driven by record first-quarter deliveries, robust order inflows, and continued progress in expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
During the quarter, the company achieved its highest-ever first-quarter deliveries of 506 MW, marking a 14% year-on-year increase, while commissioning more than doubled to 269 MW, reflecting accelerated project execution. Suzlon also secured approximately 1 GW of new orders, including two major developer-led EPC contracts from Tata Power and Waaree Group, taking its cumulative order book to around 6.1 GW. Notably, 84% of the order book is backed by public sector undertakings (PSUs) and commercial & industrial (C&I) customers, highlighting strong demand across key market segments.
As part of its evolving business strategy, Suzlon increased the contribution of its Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) business from 22% in Q1 FY26 to 32% in Q1 FY27. During the quarter, the company also unveiled its S175 (5 MW) wind turbine platform in India and Europe and secured the platform’s first order in the Indian market. In addition, Suzlon introduced its ‘Suzlon 2.0’ strategy, centred on four business verticals—RE Tech, RE DevCo, RE Projects, and RE AMS—to strengthen its presence across the renewable energy value chain and unlock new growth opportunities.
Commenting on the performance, Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said, “Suzlon is stronger than ever, and we’re leveraging this to invest in our future. Suzlon 2.0 is underway as we build four strategic growth engines with wind-led renewable energy solutions, strengthen our technology, and focus on long-term customer partnerships. All new growth areas are gaining traction. The S175-5x had a strong debut, and the S144-3x order book is building significant momentum. During the quarter, we also deepened existing partnerships and formed new ones to accelerate our customers’ energy transition journey.”
Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, said, “Our strong start to FY27 reflects disciplined execution across every aspect of our business. We achieved our highest-ever first-quarter deliveries of 506 MW while more than doubling our commissioning as projects moved into advanced stages of execution. With the successful launch of the first FDRE-ready S175 wind turbine and manufacturing now scaled at our Bhuj facility, we are well prepared to meet future demand.”
Highlighting the company’s financial performance, Rahul Jain, Chief Financial Officer, Suzlon Group, said, “We delivered a strong top-line performance this quarter, with revenue growing 23% year-on-year, reflecting healthy execution and project deliveries. EBITDA and PAT margins were in line with ongoing developments, given the temporary logistics disruptions arising from the geopolitical situation, certain strategic investments, and changes in project scope and business mix.”
For the quarter ended 30 June 2026, revenue from operations increased 23% year-on-year to ₹3,819 crore, compared with ₹3,117 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. EBITDA stood at ₹595 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 15.6%, while Profit Before Tax (PBT) was ₹390 crore and Profit After Tax (PAT) reached ₹305 crore. Although profitability margins moderated compared with Q1 FY26, the company attributed the decline to temporary logistics disruptions caused by geopolitical developments, strategic investments, and changes in project scope and business mix.
With record first-quarter deliveries, a growing order pipeline, new product launches, and the rollout of its Suzlon 2.0 strategy, the company has entered FY27 with strong operational momentum and a clear focus on expanding its leadership in India’s renewable energy sector.
