BluPine Energy Signs Renewable PPA with Bharti Hexacom

BluPine Energy has announced the signing of a long-term renewable energy Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Bharti Hexacom, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, for its Edge Data Centres across Rajasthan.

The agreements cover BluPine Energy’s Rajasthan renewable energy project and will support Bharti Hexacom’s renewable power requirements for its Edge Data Centre operations across the state, the company said.

It further added that the agreement strengthens its Commercial & Industrial (C&I) renewable energy portfolio in Rajasthan and its overall C&I portfolio. The execution also brings BluPine Energy closer to closing Phase 1 of its Rajasthan project, which has an overall rating of ‘AA’, according to the company.

“Collaborations like these are a vital step towards accelerating India’s clean energy transition, empowering businesses to achieve their sustainability goals through reliable and cost-effective renewable energy solutions,” BluPine Energy stated.
The partnership is aimed at enabling Bharti Hexacom to meet its sustainability requirements. through long-term renewable energy procurement, while supporting BluPine Energy’s expansion in the C&I renewable energy segment.

Recently, BluPine Energy also signed long-term Open Access Power Purchase Agreements with Craftsman Automation and Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions to supply 21 MWp of solar power from its Rajasthan project for captive consumption.
BluPine Energy has around 1.5 GW of operational renewable energy capacity and has a long-term ambition to build a 4+ GW renewable energy platform in India.
