Adani Power to Invest $3 Billion for 2,400 MW Power Project in Bihar

Adani Power has announced plans to invest nearly $3 billion in setting up a 2,400 MW power project in Bihar, marking one of the largest private sector energy investments in the state.

The project, aimed at strengthening Bihar’s power infrastructure, is expected to boost electricity availability for households, industries, and businesses while supporting the state’s long-term development goals. According to company officials, the initiative will also generate significant employment opportunities during both construction and operations.

The upcoming facility will focus on reliable and efficient power generation, with provisions to integrate cleaner technologies in line with India’s energy transition commitments. The investment highlights Bihar’s growing importance as a destination for large-scale infrastructure projects and underlines Adani Power’s strategy to expand its footprint in eastern India.

Once completed, the 2,400 MW project will play a crucial role in meeting the region’s rising energy demand and supporting industrial growth, thereby contributing to both state and national power security.
