KP Energy Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for the development of a 100 MW ISTS-connected wind power project in Gujarat under Tranche XIX of SECI’s tariff-based competitive bidding.
The award has been granted under the Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment at a discovered tariff of ₹3.67 per kWh. The company will be required to commence supply of power from the full project capacity within 24 months from the effective date of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), which will be executed following the LoA.
With this project, KP Energy’s IPP portfolio is expected to increase to approximately 150 MW upon execution and commissioning, marking a significant expansion of its renewable energy footprint. The company stated that the order reinforces its position as a reliable developer of utility-scale wind power projects under competitive bidding frameworks.
The 100 MW wind project will be connected through the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), enabling power supply across state boundaries. The award aligns with KP Energy’s strategic objective of strengthening its IPP portfolio alongside its existing EPC business.
The company clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not fall under related party transactions.
