KPI Green Energy Limited has announced that it has received a significant work order from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 142 MW (DC) / 110 MW (AC) floating solar photovoltaic project at the Kadana Dam reservoir in Mahisagar district, Gujarat.

The announcement was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The project represents a major milestone for KPI Green Energy, marking its entry into large-scale floating solar infrastructure. The company, already active in ground-mounted and rooftop solar segments, is set to strengthen its leadership position with this expansion into floating PV technology.

The turnkey contract includes complete design, engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of the floating solar plant, along with associated grid-integration infrastructure. This includes the development of a 33 kV underground transmission line connecting the project to the pooling station and the installation of 33/220 kV bays at the Kadana substation.

The scope of work also covers a comprehensive 10-year operation and maintenance agreement.

The project is expected to be completed within a period of 18 months and is seen as a significant step in advancing Gujarat’s renewable energy capacity while promoting the efficient use of water bodies for solar power generation.

“Winning the 110 MW floating solar EPC contract from GSECL is a major milestone for KPI Green Energy and the KP Group. It expands our portfolio into next-gen floating solar technology, reinforces our full-service EPC credentials, and underscores our commitment to driving India’s energy transition. We look forward to executing this project safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.”, said Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, KP Group
