The Nordex Group has received new orders from German wind and solar park developer UKA for the supply of 33 wind turbines in Germany.

The order includes N175/6.X turbines with a total installed capacity of 224.4 MW and is part of an existing framework agreement between the two companies. The contracts also encompass premium maintenance services for the turbines over a 20-year period.

The turbines will be installed across nine wind farm projects located in regions such as Brandenburg, Thuringia, and North Rhine-Westphalia. Depending on individual project schedules and site conditions, construction and commissioning are expected to begin from 2027. All turbines will be erected on hybrid towers featuring a hub height of 179 metres.

Commenting on the development, Gernot Gauglitz, Managing Partner of the UKA Group, said that despite a more challenging market environment, the company continues to make strong progress in advancing its project pipeline. He highlighted that turbine selection is a key contributor to project profitability and noted that the order confirms UKA’s commitment to procuring an additional 224 MW from its long-standing partner, Nordex.

Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central at the Nordex Group, said the latest orders further strengthen the successful collaboration between the two companies. He added that UKA’s decision to once again select Nordex’s most powerful turbines, along with a large hub height of 179 metres, underscores the suitability of the N175/6.X platform for these projects.
