NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to develop renewable energy and green hydrogen projects in the state.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos. The agreement was executed between Vijay Kiran Anand, CEO, Invest UP & UPSIDA, and DMR Panda, Executive Director, NTPC Green Energy Limited.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Suresh Kumar Khanna, Hon’ble Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Uttar Pradesh, along with senior government and industry officials.
This strategic partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of clean energy infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, with a strong focus on renewable power generation and the development of green hydrogen projects. The collaboration is expected to support the state’s clean energy transition, promote sustainable industrial growth, and contribute to India’s broader decarbonisation goals.
The MoU underscores NTPC Green Energy’s commitment to expanding its renewable and green hydrogen portfolio, while reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s position as a key destination for clean energy investments.
