NTPC Limited has announced the commissioning of 180 MW of solar capacity across two major projects through its renewable energy subsidiaries, further strengthening its clean energy portfolio.
According to a regulatory filing, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) declared the commercial operation of capacities under its step-down subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.
The company commissioned:
- 75 MW (third and final part) of the 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project in Phalodi, Rajasthan, effective March 25, 2026
- 105 MW (fifth part) of the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, effective March 29, 2026
With these additions, NTPC Group’s total installed capacity has reached 88,889 MW, while its commercial capacity now stands at 87,809 MW.
The update was disclosed to the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations.
This development highlights NTPC’s continued progress in scaling up renewable energy assets, contributing to India’s broader transition toward sustainable and low-carbon power generation.
