Oswal Pumps Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Oswal Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Oswal Solar Structure Private Limited), has secured an order worth approximately ₹39.40 crore for the deployment of 7.46 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar systems under the Government of India’s flagship residential solar initiative, the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

The order has been awarded by Swashakthi Energy and involves the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of rooftop solar systems for 3,729 households. The systems will be installed for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) consumers across the Pulivendula and Puttaparthy divisions in Andhra Pradesh. The generated solar power will be supplied to Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited.

The project includes the complete scope of design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems. In addition, the contract also covers a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract (CMC) to ensure the long-term performance and reliability of the installed systems.

The rooftop solar projects were initially awarded to Swashakthi Energy by New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. under a utility-led aggregation model. Following this, the execution of the order was assigned to Oswal Solar Energy.

With this development, Oswal Pumps Limited continues to strengthen its presence in the distributed solar segment while supporting India’s efforts to accelerate residential rooftop solar adoption under the national clean energy transition.

The company currently operates 570 MW of solar module manufacturing capacity and plans to expand its capacity by an additional 1.5 GW in the coming years. Its solar modules are compliant with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) and are certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards, enabling the company to participate in government-supported solar programmes across India.
