POM Systems & Services Pvt. Ltd. (POM Power) has commissioned a solar-integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging station equipped with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the premises of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), showcasing an integrated clean energy solution for sustainable mobility and resilient power infrastructure.
The newly installed system combines solar photovoltaic generation, battery energy storage, and EV charging infrastructure into a single platform, enabling efficient utilization of renewable energy while ensuring reliable charging even during peak demand or grid fluctuations. The BESS stores excess solar energy generated during the day and supplies power to EV chargers whenever required, improving energy efficiency and reducing dependence on the grid.
Designed to support India’s expanding electric mobility ecosystem, the project demonstrates how renewable energy and energy storage can work together to deliver uninterrupted, low-carbon charging infrastructure. The integrated solution also helps optimize power consumption, lower operational costs, and enhance grid resilience by managing energy flows more effectively.
