Schneider Electric is supporting Jupiter Hospitals in improving energy efficiency, operational visibility and patient comfort through the deployment of connected building technologies. The implementation of its EcoStruxure Building Operation platform and SpaceLogic thermostats is enabling the hospital to achieve energy savings of up to 28%, while strengthening the management of its healthcare infrastructure.

As Jupiter Hospitals expands its operations, managing energy consumption has become increasingly important. Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems account for nearly 60% of the hospital’s total energy use, making energy optimisation a key priority while maintaining the temperature and indoor air quality required for patient care.

At the centre of the deployment is Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Building Operation platform, which integrates building systems into a centralised digital control environment. The platform provides real-time operational visibility and enables hospital teams to monitor and manage building infrastructure remotely.

The deployment connects more than 400 SpaceLogic thermostats, allowing room temperatures to be adjusted dynamically according to occupancy. Hospital teams can centrally monitor more than 250 rooms across the campus, with continuous visibility into energy consumption and building performance.

The system also supports indoor air quality management in critical-care environments by monitoring HVAC system conditions and HEPA filter status. These capabilities help hospital teams maintain appropriate temperature and air quality conditions, supporting patient safety, hygiene and comfort.

Deepak Sharma, Zone President – Greater India, Managing Director and CEO of Schneider Electric India, said that combining electrification, building automation and digitalisation enables healthcare facilities to improve efficiency and strengthen infrastructure resilience while keeping patient needs at the centre.

Amit Sharma, Vice-President – Power Products and Digital Energy at Schneider Electric, highlighted that the EcoStruxure Building Operation platform brings data, control and intelligence together in a connected system. This enables hospital teams to make faster, informed decisions while maintaining safe and comfortable care environments.

Neelesh Shinde, Group Chief Technical Officer and Head – Projects at Jupiter Lifeline Hospitals, said the technology partnership has accelerated the hospital’s digital transformation by improving operational visibility and supporting essential infrastructure management.

The deployment highlights the role of smart building technologies in healthcare, where energy efficiency must go hand in hand with reliable operations and patient comfort. By integrating digital monitoring, automation and energy management, Schneider Electric and Jupiter Hospitals are working towards a more efficient and resilient healthcare infrastructure.
