Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded Saatvik Green Energy a 600 MWp solar PV module supply order valued at ₹1,041.63 crore, strengthening the company’s participation in India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
Under the order, Saatvik Green Energy will manufacture, test, pack, supply and transport domestically manufactured solar PV modules using domestic solar cells. The order is scheduled to be executed by December 2027.
The order has been awarded under an SECI tender focused on the supply of solar PV modules manufactured with domestic solar cells. The development adds to Saatvik’s order book and expands its participation in utility-scale solar projects requiring locally manufactured equipment.
Commenting on the order, Prashant Mathur, CEO, Saatvik Green Energy, said the 600 MWp contract reflects the growing focus on domestic solar manufacturing and the development of an integrated solar value chain in India.
Saatvik currently operates a 4.86 GW module manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana. The company is also developing an integrated manufacturing facility in Odisha, with Phase I comprising 2.4 GW of solar cell capacity and 4 GW of module capacity, while an additional 3.6 GW of cell capacity has been proposed under Phase II.
The company said its Odisha cell facility is progressing towards ALMM List-II enlistment, which is expected to support its ability to address evolving domestic-content requirements.
The SECI order comes as India continues to expand its domestic solar manufacturing base and supply chain, with increasing emphasis on locally manufactured cells and modules.
